2 Ways You Can Steal More Dark Elixir in Clash of Clans

Dark elixir is such a hard resource to come by. You need it to upgrade your heros (barbarian king and archer queen) and your dark troops. The dark elixir collectors don't really product much even when they're maxed.

Today I'm going to show you two ways you can get more dark elixir.

1. Get into a higher league

As you can see from the chart below, you win dark elixir at every league above Gold 1 for every victory.

2. Use lighting spell on dark elixir storage

We all hate it when people do it to us, but it's an easy way to steal dark elixir. The only reason I don't do it is because each lighting spell costs 22,000 elixir and I want to make each raid profitable.

Here's an example of someone doing this to me:

What Troops Should I Upgrade First In My Lab?

One of my Facebook fans asked this question  so I thought I'd create a post answering it. You might have wondered this too.

My reply to him was, "What troops do you use the most?"

You need to always keep that lab running. The best advice I can give you is to upgrade the troops you use the most. It makes no sense to upgrade healers if you don't use them.

The troops I use the most are: giants, hogs, archers, wbers, gobs, pekkas, barbarians, and wizards.

Right now I'm in the crystal league and it's tough to win raids with my current strategy. I am working on getting better at gowipe and balloonions as these strategies work in this league and the ones higher.

Watch Me Steal 755,624 In Resources

Today I've got another raid for you to learn from. In this raid I steal 755,624 in gold, silver, and dark elixir. Below the video are the key takeaways.

Key Takeaways

  • Do your math and make sure you don't lose money on your raid.
  • Before you attack always have a goal in mind. In this video I really wanted the gold so I started my attack closest to the gold storages.
Do you need attacking advice? If so, let me know by sending me a message on my Facebook page:

Why People Put Their Town Hall Outside Their Base

Have you ever wondered why people put their Town Hall on the outside of their base? I get this question a lot too and the answer is quite simple.

Here's a picture of my base and you'll see that I have my Town Hall on the outside of my base:

There are two different kind of attackers in Clash of Clans:
  • The ones that want loot
  • The ones that want to complete achievements
Which type do you think the Town Hall on the outside attracts? If you guessed the ones that want to complete achievements, then you guessed right. They're going after the Humiliator achievement and not loot.

Do you put your Town Hall on the outside of your base?

10 Examples of Bases That Were Rushed

The last thing you want to do in Clash of Clans is rush your town hall. While raiding, I've seen quite a few rushed bases. Number #10 was my absolute favorite. Which base makes you laugh the most?

Watch Me Steal 658,850 In Resources From Matteo

I have created a YouTube channel to go along with this blog. I'm going to start out by making a couple videos a month. If you'd like to subscribe, click here:

Here's the video where I share a replay of me stealing 658,850 in resources from a clasher named Matteo:

Key Takeaways

  1. Always know your numbers - How much is it costing you to train troops? How much do you stand to gain realistically if you win the raid? How much will you profit from the raid?
  2. When going up against xbows, check to see if they're strung or not. If they're unstrung, then you know the player hasn't loaded it with elixir in a while. If it's not strung, then you know the xbow won't attack you.
  3. Look to see if the storages are empty or not. If they're empty, then the majority of the resources are tied up in the actual collectors themselves.

Clan Etiquette - Do's and Don'ts

Me, the leader and the the other co-leaders in my clan are always kicking people out of our clan for stupid stuff. Today I want to talk about proper clan etiquette. In other words, things you should and shouldn't do.

Requesting and Donating Troops

It's pretty dumb of you to request troops you can't even make. It's a huge pet peeve of ours. Don't request lvl 5 archers if you can only make lvl 4. The same goes for requesting a PEKKA knight when you can't even make them yet.

When you're requesting troops, customize the message and tell your fellow clan members exactly what you're wanting them to donate to you. You don't have the right to complain if you don't tell them what to give you.

When you see that someone is requesting troops, read the message and give them what they're asking for. It's pretty shitty if you give them gobs when they asked for archers. (Gobs are one of the worst units to have in a clan castle - more on this in a future post).  If an idiot donates something you didn't ask for, just delete the unit and tell them not to do that again. If they do it again, it's grounds for kicking in our clan.

Clan Wars

Don't even bother attacking anyone in the enemy's top 10. You'll most likely fail and get 0 stars for your clan. It's important to attack a base you know you can 2 or 3 star.

To give your clan the best chance of winning a war, the clan castles need to be filled. Pull your weight and donate, but don't be stupid and take all of that responsibility and fill every clan castle. It's not fair to you and your resources that you work so hard for.

Recruiting

Don't leave all the recruiting to the leader and co-leaders. Pull your weight and jump on Global chat and talk people into joining your clan. When new people join the clan, welcome them and ask them where they're from. New people want to be part of a clan that's active and friendly.

Did I miss any do's and don'ts in my etiquette list?
